GARDEN CENTER SALES AND SUPPORT

Type of Position: Spring Seasonal, Part-time, hourly pay

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, unload, unpack, price, and display Garden Center merchandise

  • Greet customers in a courteous, friendly manner (in person and on the phone)

  • Inform customers of weekly specials and sales

  • Sell and aid customers in selection of all Garden Center products

  • Direct customers to the proper sales are for products desired

  • Provide general cultural care and basic garden design advice to customers

  • Encourage tie-in sales (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)

  • Maintain and clean sales areas with Garden Center products and materials

  • Other duties requested by manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., or more, multiple times throughout the day.

  • Must have ability to work standing, walking and moving for up to 8-hrs. per day.

  • Must have ability to work outside in all types of weather and temperatures.

  • Carry, lift, load, push, pull, crawl, crouch, reach, grab, work with hands, twist, walk, and other similarly physical and specialized actions.

  • Availability from April 1st through July 1st, up to 5+ days per week including either Saturday or Sunday.

  • Must be able to work for any employer in the United States without any type of sponsorship.
